Food List for Kapha Dosha Balance

When Kapha dosha is out of balance, large amounts of mucus are generated in the body, digestive activity becomes weak and lethargic, skin turns pale, blood cools down, and there are many more unpleasant things occurring in the body.

One of the easiest ways to bring the dosha back to the balanced state is to adjust your meals. The first steps include reducing the meal volume, eating smaller portions and less often; fasting is also good for Kapha as well as internal cleanse. But in general Ayurveda recommends to follow a particular Kapha dosha meal plan to avoid the dosha imbalances and remain healthy.

The best diet for Kapha is the vegetarian diet. If you cannot give up meat eating yet, gradually reduce its consumption to eventually drop animal foods altogether (the exception are the dairy products but Kapha should also reduce their intake).
